Saturday, we had another fun time cheering at Warren Community Church. They have a basketball & cheerleading program. This is such a great outreach program they have for the young kids (preschool - 6th grade...it may go a little older, I'm not 100% sure). Each child participating must be committed to their team (showing up for every practice & game ) AND learn about their commitment to God through a devotional after the game.
When I was growing up, we had Pee Wee Football, Pee Wee Basketball, & Pee Wee Cheerleading for Football. I LOVED these programs!!!! Not only was I involved as a child, but also went back & helped coach a PeeWee Cheerleading Squad a couple of different years while I was in Junior High & High School. But I digress....
Of course I did a "little" photo documentation of the event:
A little pre-game photo
Little sister is excited to watch big sister cheer!
Jamie had to show off her pigtails!
Madison was showing Kayla what she missed while out of practice on Thursday due to the visitation for MawMaw Patsy.
Jamie is enthralled in the pre-game practice while having a little Goldfish snack.
Jamie has to do her practice too! This girl can't wait till she's old enough to be on the squad!
Captain Madison is talking to her squad
There are 2 squads: Divas & Princesses. Kayla was a Princess (last week &) this week. The Princess Squad cheered for the Boys' Game (Black vs Blue)
Getting ready to cheer
Cheering during the game
Kayla was EXCITED that Daddy made it to watch her cheer!
She was also EXCITED that Poppie & Gree made it to watch too
Apparently watching the big girls cheer wears you out
They are into it, but you can't really hear them
Jamie brought her own entertainment, her DS
Cheering during half-time
A little more snack just to get us through
Cheering after half-time...again, they're into it, but you can't really hear them
Jamie decided to start entertaining Poppie, Gree, & Daddy
After the game, we enjoyed Lenny's for lunch
